Product Description
Choerospondias axillaris Seeds Lapsi Seeds, Hog plum Seeds Choerospondias axillaris, known as Lapsi in the country of Nepal, is plant in the family Anacardiaceae. It is found only in the highlands of Nepal.[citation needed] Much like a mango, its fruit is comprised of a seed that is hard and covered with a soft whitish flesh. The flesh is covered with green skin. The seed is as big as olive and the whole fruit is as big as a date. There are various delicacies that stem out of this sour fruit. It is typically used in Nepal to make pickle and spiced candy - often combined sweet, sour, salty and hot flavors often in one recipe. A famous fruit tart called "titaura" or "paun" or "maada" is favored by most of the people in Nepal
